Springfield Hospital Sponsors 0-5 Funday for local
community.
Springfield hospital was delighted to recently
donate £1500.00 and become the Sponsor for the fantastic
0-5 Funday event held at the Springfield Parish Centre, Chelmsford
for children between the ages of 0-5. The day consisted of
many activities for children and parents and was blessed with good
weather.
Jan Newman marketing manager at the hospital
said “we are delighted to work with John Puczkowski who manages the
centre and who was the driving force behind this wonderful event.
As a local hospital we are keen to work with community projects and
to be involved with our local community as much as possible”.
The event was over two days and had many
educational and learning activities for the children all wrapped up
in play. Springfield hospital had its own hospital tent which
gave the children a chance to play doctors and nurses and to become
familiar with people in uniform as paediatric nurse Gill Nobel was
present on both days, working and playing with the children.
There was also a photographic competition to find the little
girl and little boy that best encompassed the spirit of the
event. The winners in this competition were:
Girl winner: Lily Hawes from Ongar
Boy winner: Oscar Green from Chelmsford
Congratulations to both our winners who have now received their
winners prizes of a £20 mothercare voucher.
