Springfield hospital Roadshow - free checks offered to the
public
On the 21st September Springfield hospital took a snapshot of
the services it offers and moved into the precinct in the centre of
Chelmsford.
On offer to the public were:
Free mini hearing assessment from audiologist Ben Mann in his
converted portacabin.
The clinical staff were taking Blood Pressures and calculating
BMI’s
Theatre staff demonstrated Basic Life Support and how to deal
with the choking child to a grateful audience of parents and
grandparents.
There was an information stand on Weight loss surgery and in
addition an advice stand on how to achieve good infection
control.
Physiotherapists were available and had lots of enquiries
from the public for information and treatment options.
In addition information on obtaining medical health
insurance and all of the services Springfield hospital can
offer was available.
This was a fantastic day despite the weather.
Springfield hospital was pleased to be able to offer the
community free checks it would not normally be able to access, and
all of those that took advantage of this were pleased to get the
opportunity.
The physiotherapy stand ran a competition for those visiting
their stand and the winner was:
Mrs Seago from Danbury who won a Massage voucher in the
physiotherapy department. So congratulations to her.
Springfield hospital will repeat this Roadshow next year.
