Staff enjoy some comic reliefWednesday 12 April 2017

Staff at Springfield Hospital took part in a range of fundraising activities around Red Nose Day to raise money for Comic Relief.

Wanna-be Great British Bakers donated cakes of all shapes and sizes for the cake sale which took over the hospital's main reception for the day.  Other initiatives included a raffle, with cash prize, and a 'Guess the number of sweets' competition which saw a delighted member of staff win a whopping 487 sweets with the closest guess.

But, the highlight of the day's fun was without doubt the Comic Relief Quiz which was won by Peter’s Possie with The Fact Hunters and the Drug Pushers a close 2nd!  With a dance round, dressing up and other hilarity a great night was had by all.

In total, staff raised over £300 for Comic Relief to help tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice in the UK and across the world.
