Ms Tzafetta obtained her Medical Degree at the University of Athens in 1991. She has undertaken all her training in the UK and obtained the Certificate of Completion of Training in Plastic Surgery (CCT) in the UK in 2007. She has also completed a Fellowship in Microsurgery and Reconstruction for Facial Paralysis in Norfolk, Virginia, USA.

She is in the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. Ms Tzafetta was a Locum Consultant in Plastic Surgery at Leeds General Infirmary and is presently a Consultant at St Andrew's Centre of Plastic Surgery in Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.

Her special interest is facial and neck surgery, however she is comprehensively trained in all aspects of plastic and cosmetic surgery. She performs a wide variety of cosmetic procedures such as facial surgery, facelifts, eyelid surgery, breast enlargement or reduction, tummy-tuck, liposuction and body sculpting.

Ms Tzafetta has undertaken two year full time research on wound healing at Bradford University which led her to a Masters Degree (MPhil). She also performed clinical and laboratory research on the facial nerve and facial reanimation during her fellowship year in Virginia, USA, for which she was awarded a grant from the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation (PSEF) of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. This work has been published in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and presented in international meetings. Ms Tzafetta has co-authored a chapter in the text book PLASTIC SURGERY: Indications and Practice. She has presented her work at national and international meetings and has published articles in medical journals.
