Mr Thomas Pearson is a General Surgeon in Chelmsford, Essex who specialises in hernia repair, pilonidal disease, gall stones, haemorrhoids, fissures, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, crohn’s, and diverticular disease.

Mr Pearson qualified at the Royal Free hospital in 1992 and has trained in General Surgery in London, Northamptonshire, Surrey, Sussex and Australia. He has lectured in General Surgery at University College London and has completed laboratory and population based research into the natural history, genetics and inheritance of colorectal cancer. He trained in keyhole surgery at Frimley Park and The Royal Surrey County Hospital (including the internationally renowned Minimal Access Training Unit). Mr Pearson is an accredited upper and lower GI endoscopist having completed training and evaluation at St Georges Hospital endoscopy training unit. He was appointed a Consultant Surgeon at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford in 2007.
