Support services
We continue to support patients with any follow-up care, on-going treatments and help in getting back to normal life as quickly as possible including providing physiotherapy, access to counselling and living well services with our charity partners. A full range of support services including counselling, pain management, and support groups enable us to offer a truly holistic approach to your cancer treatment.
Helen Rollason Cancer Charity
We work in a strong partnership with the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity who can provide complimentary services to support patients and their family before, during and after their treatment with us. The charity offer complementary therapies, Look Good Feel Better workshops, counselling and the provision of information. The aim is to provide a safe space where you can be yourself and don’t have to put on a brave face, knowing that you are not alone and that others are experiencing the same feelings and difficulties as you.
Counselling
Cancer brings about many changes in a person's life, emotional as well as physical. We offer counselling as an important means of support for you and your family.
Palliative care
The main focus of palliative medicine is symptom management designed to help patients minimise pain, as well as other symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, occurring during cancer treatment.
Physiotherapy
We have a specialist physiotherapist available for both inpatient and outpatient appointments. Treatments are tailored to suit individual needs at any stage of your cancer treatment and recovery.
Lymphoedema service
Lymphoedema can arise as a result of cancer treatment, but usually responds very well to treatment. Our dedicated therapy staff provide a personalised care plan for each patient aimed at reducing swelling and improving the condition of the tissues, and preventing further problems or complications.
Pain management
If you are suffering from pain caused by the disease itself or resulting from surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy, a number of different techniques are available to effectively relieve this.
